People who are dying can be our greatest teachers in life, if we let them talk, while we just listen. They are forerunners in a process that is essential for the life cycle to occur and continue. Death does not discriminate, it’s certainly not personal. It is part of us and it’s there to remind us, that this lifespan is finite.
Nothing is ever the same as before, or during and after such an event.
I spent three years of my life in the homes of complete strangers accompanying them and their families on their final journey towards death. The statements and questions on the following pages are taken directly from my conversations with them. As we became acquainted with each other and their death drew closer, their teachings are the gift they imparted to me.
This guide offers those outside the storm a view of what it’s like inside the swirling vortex as someone prepares to die. It is written from the vantage point of the dying. It is their teachings that are being handed on in the form of questions or statements made by people as they neared the end of their time on this planet.
